Walking by sight is stagnation
of an arrested zeal
where life becomes tedious boredom
with lackluster appeal

the victory was so near
that one should trust in all faith
not doubtfully led by fear

from one moment unto the next
time has its ups and downs
when pleasure exists for the moment
that fantasy surrounds

making it hard for hope to bear
and change an attitude
by trusting in God in all things
a love that He will prove

that faith is foundational truth
believing on His word
thereby answers thus shall come forth
as if they have occurred

for purpose and meaning are keen
a zeal for life renewed
living as God had intended
by faith what He can do

and life becomes an adventure
through which one lives by faith
ready to rise in the morning
excitement for the day
